Families invited to free SACHA event in Southport celebrating African and Caribbean communities

SACHA, the Southport African Caribbean Heritage Association, is inviting people to join them and celebrate African and Caribbean Culture in Southport. 

The group is hosting a gathering on Saturday, 29th March 2025, from 10am to 5pm.

The free Cultural Education and Heritage Event is dedicated to the vibrant traditions of African and Caribbean communities. 

It will take place at Leyland Road Methodist Church on Leyland Road in Southport PR9 9JQ. 

What to Expect:

Storytelling sessions

Music & dance

African Drumming

Breakout Room for Chair Yoga

There will be free food served between 12pm and 1pm. 

Keep an eye out on the SACHA Instagram and Facebook social media pages for the menu coming soon.

Bring cash only for a chance to win in the raffle. 

Event organiser Gemma Collins said: “This is more than just an event – it’s an immersive cultural experience that celebrates heritage, fosters learning, and brings communities together.” 

The SACHA Cultural Education and Heritage Event is funded by Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS).
