Twelve courageous supporters of Queenscourt Hospice are preparing to come face-to-face with some of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring predators as they take on a thrilling Shark Dive at the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire.
The daring dozen will descend into the aquarium’s enormous Caribbean Reef tank, home to an incredible collection of marine life, including formidable Sand Tiger Sharks, sleek Lemon Sharks, and impressive Nurse Sharks.
Swimming just inches away from these magnificent creatures, the fundraisers will be raising vital funds to support the specialist care Queenscourt Hospice provides to patients and families across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.
Leading the way is Queenscourt’s Fundraising Manager, Liz Hartley, who is spearheading the challenge as an exciting new addition to the hospice’s 2026 fundraising calendar.
This unforgettable experience will see participants safely guided by expert dive instructors as they enter the 3.8-million-litre tank — offering a rare opportunity to encounter sharks up close while making a life-changing difference in their local community.
