Dovehaven Care Homes

The respected Dovehaven Care Home Group has committed to become a Real Living Wage Employer, plus £0.20.

This announcement strengthens the group’s commitment to their team member’s wellbeing and professional development opportunities.

The change comes during a time of growth for the care home provider, which recently purchased three new homes in the last two months.

The North West based organisation is dedicated to improving the standards of care across the region. The prioritisation of their colleagues highlights this mission.

The pay uplift occurred for many of the group’s employees on 1st April 2024.

However, due to the group acquiring three new homes during this period, colleagues who have been most recently welcomed into the Dovehaven Group are still undergoing the pay uplift process.

Paul Mulhearn, Dovehaven’s Senior Finance Business Partner said:

“Here at Dovehaven we are committed to investing in our people, and it is by investing in our people that we believe we can offer quality care to all our residents.

“We wanted to reward our employees for their hard work and commitment to quality care, and attract more great people to our organisation, which is why we took the decision to commit to paying the Real Living Wage to all staff members.”

The group’s commitment to paying the Real Living Wage comes just a few weeks after the company launched their new Internal Communications platform for all employees. Blink: The Employee App is used by other large organisations including Arriva, Stagecoach, and Care Synergy.

Dovehaven’s investment in this application for their colleagues is just another example of the benefits for working in a Dovehaven Care Home.
