Connell Court Care Home paid partnership
Connell Court Care Home in Southport has celebrated 50 years of care with a special garden party enjoyed by residents, family, VIP guests, and staff members past and present.
The care home, on Weld Road in Birkdale, is one of the oldest purpose-built residential care homes in the UK which opened its doors in 1976.

There was lots to enjoy with live music, a fish and chip van, stalls, games, cakes and more.
Special guests included Merseyside Deputy Lieutenant Billy Hui BEM and his Consort Kerry Berrisford and Chair of the Liverpool Commonwealth Association Dr Garth Dallas.
They were welcomed and given a tour of the home by members of the Crestview team including Director James Guy and Chaplain Ange Pedder.
A Connell Court spokesperson said: “What a truly fabulous day we had celebrating our 50th Anniversary.
“Thank you to our residents, families, friends, and all who joined us to make the day so special. Seeing everyone come together to celebrate this incredible milestone means the world to us.
“We are delighted to share that our raffle and stalls on the day raised an amazing £768.28! Thank you!
“And of course a heartfelt thank you to our amazing team, for all their hard work and dedication.

Connell Court Care Home was taken over in 2024 by Crestview Care, which has invested substantially in upgrading the facilities while retaining the focus on the dedication and warmth of its staff.
They have been determined to support the team while also making significant financial investment to enhance facilities and introduce new systems.
Cresview Care has implemented new digital technology to boost efficiency, allowing staff to spend even more time with residents and less on paperwork.
Established in 1976, Connell Court is a purpose-built, 37-bedroom residential care home on the edge of Birkdale Village with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Residents are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives with shared living and dining areas that foster a strong sense of community. The home offers a full programme of activities, outings, and events, alongside personalised care and support.
