Coast Birkdale is thrilled to announce the appointment of Eddie Dean as its new Executive Chef.
With a passion for culinary innovation and a commitment to excellence, Eddie brings a fresh perspective to the iconic restaurant, situated in Birkdale Village in Southport.
The new man at the helm aims to redefine the dining experience under the banner of ‘Flavour Reimagined.’
Eddie Dean’s culinary journey is marked by creativity, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of culinary excellence. With an impressive background spanning various prestigious kitchens and establishments, Eddie is renowned for his ability to elevate traditional flavours and reimagine classic dishes with a contemporary twist.
Eddie said: “The reason for offering to assist Ian and Sally at Coast was simple. After seeing several chef teams in the venue not quite ‘gel’ with the location and demographic, I felt I could offer a culinary vision offering brasserie-style cuisine with the odd one or two elevated dishes to follow the seasons.

“Having a well-equipped kitchen and recruiting a first-class kitchen team, the aim is to offer stability and continuity in the menu, subtle evolvement in time, and ultimately to offer a full terrace menu as well as restaurant.”
In his role as Executive Chef, Eddie Dean is committed to crafting an unparalleled dining experience that reflects the essence of Coast Birkdale. With a focus on quality, innovation, and seasonality, Eddie aims to create a menu that captivates the senses and delights the palate of every guest.
