Charlotte Ducie from SmallTownBigScreen said: “Our event SmallTownBigScreen is to visit Victoria Park in Southport in December for a magical Christmas Drive In experience.
“I’m looking to spread the word as much as I can and give the town of Southport something festive to look forward to.
“We will visit Southport on the 12th and 13th of December with a Covid-19 safe and socially distanced experience.
“We will be showing Elf, Home Alone, The Grinch and Love Actually and have had a wonderful response so far.

“We will be adding festive extras to make this a Christmas experience to remember after such a tough year.
“We are also aware of the ever changing restrictions and would like to make clear that should a lockdown be extended and stop an event from going ahead we will issue full refunds.”
The news of the event has been welcomed by film-goers.
Charlotte said: “We are an events company based in Manchester and we had to adapt with everything that 2020 has thrown at us.
“We launched SmallTownBigScreen in Barrow-in-Furness in September and had such a great response.
“We knew that we just had to get to more Small Towns across the North West which is why we launched our North West Christmas Tour.”
Now the firm is excited about the prospect of screening four of the most iconic Christmas movies in Southport this December.
Charlotte said: “We would love to spread the word and say how excited we are about coming to Southport.
“I’ve visited the British Musical Fireworks Championship in Southport in the past and know that Victoria Park holds great events such as Southport Flower Show.
“We are really looking forward to bringing something festive to the area!”
The drive in movies are the latest new events to be announced by Southport Flower Show and Victoria Park Events.

The charity recently revealed plans for the UK’s largest BBQ Festival, Smoke & Fire Festival North, which will take place at Victoria Park in Southport 18-21 June 2021.
This will be followed by another brand new event, Comedy In The Park, which sees John Bishop top the bill alongside Katherine Ryan, Al Murray, Jason Manford, Paul Chowdhry and host Judi Love on Saturday 17 July 2021.
Southport Flower Show, starring The Hairy Bikers, will then take place 19-22 August 2021, with the British Musical Fireworks Championship on 24-26 September 2021.
Southport Flower Show / Victoria Park Management General Manager Alan Adams said: “We are excited to be hosting this Covid-safe event in December.
“Visitors will be able to enjoy a weekend full of festive fun in the comfort of your own car.”
