Fans of the British Musical Fireworks in Southport are set to enjoy DOUBLE the amount of fireworks tonight (Saturday, 23rd Saturday 2023).
They will get to see six musical fireworks displays at Victoria Park rather than the usual three after Friday night’s event was cancelled due to bad weather.
There is a huge crowd of fireworks fans expected tonight with the event sold out.
People who had tickets for Friday’s display will not be able to attend Saturday instead, and will be issued with refunds.
Tonight the gates opened half hour earlier than advertised at 5.30pm open with accessible access at 5pm.
A Sefton Council spokesperson said: “The show will start at 7.45pm tonight as we have all 6 displays.
“This also means we will finish later than advertised at 10.15pm.
“All ticket holders have been sent this information this morning on email.
“Please arrive early as we cannot delay the shows. We are also sold out so there will be no availability on the gate
“Tonight’s event has SOLD OUT both online and on the gate.
“Please only come to the event if you have got a ticket.
“There are no official ticket resellers so please be aware of this when purchasing tickets from somebody else.
“If you had tickets for last night, they cannot be used tonight and will be refunded by SeeTickets.”

It’s part of a busy September for Southport, which has already seen events including Southport Air Show, Jail and Bail and Southport Classic and Speed, with Southport Comedy Festival starting later this month.
Thousands of fireworks fans at the British Musical Fireworks Championship will once again be left in awe of the breath-taking pyro-musical displays while six pyrotechnic companies battle it out to be crowned champion of the competition.
