Businesses in Sefton interested in learning about how to operate more sustainably are invited to join CASA – the Community Anchor & Sustainable Alliance.
The growing business networking group was launched last year by The Hearth CIC.
The ambition is to create a “greener, fairer future for Southport” and beyond.
CASA hosts regular meetings where business owners can get together and share ideas, as well as delivering training on topics including carbon literacy.
The Hearth directors Rebecca Armstrong and Nadia Speers-Robinson said:
“At CASA, we believe in the power of collaboration to create a greener, fairer future for Southport.
“Our mission is to empower local businesses, creatives, and communities to take meaningful climate action through collaboration, education, and visibility.
“We work to strengthen sustainable supply chains, deliver carbon literacy training, and showcase innovation through flagship events like Earth Day Southport.
“Our vision is to create a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable Southport where businesses, councils, and communities live within the planet’s means.
“Together, we aim to make Southport a green place to live, work, and visit — driving positive change for people, planet, and prosperity.
“Join us in building a future where sustainability isn’t just a goal — it’s a way of life.”
