The hugely anticipated Birkdale Village Christmas Fayre returns this weekend, turning the whole of Birkdale Village in Southport into a winter wonderland.
The Christmas Fayre will take place this Sunday (3rd December 2023) between 11am and 6pm.
The event sees the return of fairground rides for both young children and adults. Father Christmas himself will be walking around the village to greet all children.
Well-loved Birkdale traders have special offerings on the day and there will also be a host of external traders offering varied goods from cakes, art and jewellery.
It will be the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping with hand-crafted gifts, perfect for those seeking one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones.
There will also be multiple food and drink vans offering lots of external delicious options.
Indulge in the spirit of the season with the aroma of mulled wine wafting through the air, complemented by the sweet taste of traditional mince pies.
There is so much to do and see at this year’s Christmas Fayre which promises to be bigger than ever before.

Entertainment will be in abundance, with live music, mesmerising dance acts, and heart-warming performances by local school choirs.
There will be performances from two local primary schools: Birkdale and Farnborough Road.
You can also enjoy festive music from two local choirs, The Atkinson Choir and the ‘Rock Choir’ plus two dance acts from Central Dance and Zapa Dance.
The Christmas tree light switch-on, outside Spar, will take place at 5pm, illuminating the heart of Birkdale Village with festive glow.
Gather around with family and friends as the Rock Choir serenades everyone as they light up their 23ft tree.
Fiona McGregor from Birkdale-based social media agency One Media Solutions said: “A committee made up of Birkdale business owners and traders headed up by Birkdale Civic Society have been organising the Christmas Fayre for months.
“We have all worked so hard to bring what I feel will be the best Fayre yet.
“Our last Fayre saw over 10,000 visitors head to our village.

“We have plenty of new attractions as well as much-loved ones and lots of surprise visitors too, including Merlin the Shetland pony.”
