Bebe’s Hive has raised over £6,000 during this year’s Southport Comedy Festival sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia.
It was the chosen charity for the festival, which took place between 2nd and 17th October 2026 in a luxury marquee at Victoria Park in Southport.
Stars at the festival included Jason Manford – who will soon be presenting the Ozdust Ball for Bebe’s Hive, also at Victoria Park.
A raffle was held to raise funds for Bebe’s Hive at the Comedy Bingo Back To The 90’s event sponsored by Bro Design on Saturday 17th October 2026.
Volunteers from Bebe’s Hive were on hand every day throughout Southport Comedy Festival, selling a range of merchandise.
Bebe’s Hive CIC offers gentle, creative child grief support to help children find comfort, express their feelings, and begin to heal — turning love and memory into something beautiful through art, play, and imagination.
They are working on opening a Bebe’s Hive centre in Cambridge Arcade in Southport town centre.
A Bebe’s Hive spokesperson said:
“What an incredible few weeks at the Southport Comedy Festival!
“We were absolutely delighted to be chosen as this year’s official fundraising partner, raising an amazing £6,110.96!
“A huge thank you to Southport Comedy Festival directors Brendan Riley and Val Brady for this wonderful opportunity and for being so incredibly supportive of Bebe’s Hive throughout the year.
“A special thank you to our fabulous Hayley, our Fundraising Executive, who, as always, works tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen!
“But our biggest thank you goes to our incredible volunteers!
“Thanks to them, we had a presence at every single show, collecting donations, selling raffle tickets and running our merchandise stall.
“Our volunteers truly are the heart of Bebe’s Hive.
“We’re not just creating a place to support grieving children, we’re building a community of kind, caring and compassionate people who embody so many of the wonderful qualities that made Bebe who she was.
“Her kindness, her inclusivity and her enormous heart are everything we want Bebe’s Hive to represent.
“We really do have the best volunteers, and we simply wouldn’t be where we are without you.
To everyone who donated, supported us or stopped for a chat — thank you!”
