Babyballet Southport, Formby & Crosby held a Dancing in Yellow week, from 9th -15th June 2025 to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
They invited Babyballet stars aged 6 months – school age to swap their tutus for yellow outfits and accessories and join the dancing, singing and fun whilst raising funds and awareness for the Trust.

They were doing this to support one of their own Babyballet stars, Dorothy, Miss Jennifer’s daughter who currently attends the Babyballet tots session, who was diagnosed with CF at two weeks old.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited diseases. Cystic fibrosis is caused by a defective gene. As a result, the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, become clogged with thick sticky mucus resulting in chronic infections and inflammations in the lungs and difficulty digesting food.

The event was a great success, there was a fun family atmosphere each and every class. The pre-school ballet lessons are held at DBA School of Dance, 140 Cambridge Road Southport, Playtown, Ocean Plaza Southport and also St Nicholas Church, Bridge Road Crosby.
There was a superb amount raised of £321.81.

Everyone looked lovely in sunny yellow and the little stars joined in the magical dances with the babyballet® teachers.
Miss Jennifer Principal at Babyballet said:
“Oh my goodness, what a way to put the FUN into fundraising! our little stars have looked so beautiful in their yellow outfits this week.

“Thank you grownups for all your support and generous donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and to our amazing teaching team-Miss Rebekah, Miss Georgina, Miss Katherine and Miss Emma for leading such bright and sunny classes.
“This really is a charity very close to our hearts, and the amount raised will really make a great difference.”

Babyballet is in its 15th year of teaching magical, award winning classes to pre-school children from six months to- six years, seven days a week.
