The Armed Forces Community Hub in Southport is celebrating its fourth birthday this weekend, with people invited to call in.
The Hub, on Wesley Street in Southport town centre, will host its fourth anniversary party 10am – 2pm this Saturday (14th February 2026).
It is operated by Southport Royal British Legion for the benefit of the local community.
A Southport Royal British Legion spokesperson said:
“We’re turning FOUR! And we’d love you to celebrate with us.
“Pop in for a cuppa (and yes… there might be cake ) and come and see what we do as we celebrate four years of supporting the Armed Forces family in Southport.
“For the past four years, we’ve been proud to serve the Armed Forces community in our town, offering frontline support, friendship, practical help and a welcoming space.
“Alongside this, we’ve also laid on skills, manpower and support for some of Southport’s biggest community events, including Armed Forces Day… yes, that’s us. We do that.
“We’re incredibly proud to be one of the only Royal British Legion branches in the country open five days a week, run by dedicated volunteers who provide:
- Frontline support
- Friendship and connection
- Free tea and coffee
- A safe, welcoming place for the Armed Forces community
“We’re open every week, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–12pm
“And when we have the volunteers to open longer, we often do.
“And Southport happens to be one of the largest Armed Forces communities in the UK !
“So whether you:
- Want to find out what we do and how we can help you.
- Are thinking about volunteering and doing something amazing this year
- Or simply want to pop in and show you care about what we do.
“Join us anytime between 10am–2pm this Saturday.
“And yes! You’ll still have plenty of time for Valentine’s plans.
“Find us on Wesley Street, Southport
“Everyone’s welcome.”
