Calls have been made to improve the Southport Train Station and Chapel Street area of Southport.
Southport MP Patrick Hurley said he is eager to secure improvements to the gateway area for the town.
He is also determined to campaign for better rail services to and from Southport.

This includes calling for the restoration of the Burscough Curves, which would restore direct rail travel between Southport, Preston and Ormskirk, which was axed during the controversial Beeching cuts in the 1960s.
Mr Hurley is also keen to improve the dire rail services between Southport and Manchester.

On Tuesday last week, the Government said it will commit £10 million to revamp the area in front of Southport Town Hall and The Atkinson after conversations with the families of Bebe, Elsie and Alice.
The following day, in the Spending Review, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced funding to repair and reopen Southport Pier.
Southport MP Patrick Hurley says the town needs more investment.
Speaking at a recent Southport Learning Town event, he said: “We have got the announcement on planning for the Town Hall gardens, we have got the announcement on the Pier.
“I am now turning my focus to see what we can do to improve Chapel Street and Southport Railway Station.
“To see what we can do to get our transport links improved. To Preston, and to Manchester specifically.
“Southport deserves better. I am going to work night and day for however long you’ll have me as your MP to make sure that I get things better for Southport.
“For far too long, Southport’s history, Southport’s heritage, Southport’s present hasn’t lived up to that heritage.
“We need to change that.”
