Mikhail Hotel And Leisure Group Chairman Andrew Mikhail said:
“We should never forget what all our doctors, nurses and everyone else who works in our NHS did for us and the huge sacrifices they made during the Covid pandemic – and all that they do for us every single day.
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our amazing NHS. We would be lost without them.
“I am also eternally grateful for the tremendous support given to me and my family by the ICU Steps charity and for everyone else during the Covid pandemic.
“This is the fourth fundraising event I have hosted at The Grand, and it is dedicated to all those who lost their lives, or lost loved ones, during the pandemic, and to all those whose lives were impacted by Covid.
“I am looking forward to the biggest night of the year for me personally because the nurses, physios and doctors who worked so hard to save my life during Covid attend this.

“This is going to be a fantastic night out packed with great entertainment throughout all three floors of The Grand.
“So many people keep telling me how much they miss being able to visit a casino in Southport!
“The Grand is famous for its many years as The Grand Casino – it’s where I enjoyed my first date with my wife, Vicky.
“We will have lots of casino games that people can play; come in and buy as many chips as you want.
“This will be a fun Las Vegas style night with blackjack, roulette, craps tables just to mention a few. We want to see people coming in and having a go!
“There will be great prizes to be won for players who finish first, second and third on the night.
“You can win lots of prizes via our raffle.
“Come and see some superb live entertainment from several acts, headlined by the unbelievably talented X Factor finalist Ray Quinn.
“We have a variety of current and old school DJs on all floors. Baz Todd and Ste Cocky will both be in the house.
“It is going to be a fantastic fundraising event.”
Headlining the Las Vegas Casino Charity Night Party, Ray Quinn wowed audiences across the UK runner-up on X Factor in 2006, finishing in second place to winner Leona Lewis.
He starred as Anthony Murray in Brookside from 2000 to 2003; won the fourth series of Dancing on Ice in 2009; and was the winner of Get Your Act Together in 2015.
The Grand is a fitting place for a casino night as this historic building was home to the Grand Casino and later Genting Casino for many years.
Every penny raised will go towards ICU Steps, run by former intensive care patients and relatives.
