New Baby & Toddler Tuesday sessions have launched at The Engine Room in Wayfarers Arcade on Lord Street in Southport.
These new events are held between 10am and 2.30pm on a weekly basis, with the next one taking place on Tuesday 19th January 2026.
They are designed to be a gentle, welcoming space for parents, carers, babies and toddlers.
The Engine Room is situated on the first floor of Wayfarers Arcade, at the West Street end.
An Engine Room spokesperson said: “On Tuesdays, The Engine Room becomes a Baby & Toddler Space — not a formal class or workshop, but a shared, relaxed environment where parents and little ones can be together without pressure or expectations.
“There’s no planned facilitation at this stage. Instead, we’re opening the space intentionally, so you know:
- when other parents and toddlers are likely to be around
- when the café is quieter or more social
- when the space is set aside for young families
“From there, connections can happen naturally.
“Bring what you need
“Coffee and warmth on hand
“It’s a space to sit, play, chat, or simply be.
“As this grows, we’ll see what groups, ideas, or facilitators might emerge — starting with space first, and letting the rest follow.
“It will be open during our cafe opening hours, 10am-3pm.
“No booking. Just come along!”
