Young people aged 18-21 in Sefton can now enjoy support towards finding good employment opportunities thanks to the launch of a new initiative by Merseyside Expanding Horizons.
‘Launchpad’ will see a fresh and modern approach from the old-fashioned CV workshops to new ways of gaining real-world skills.
A Merseyside Expanding Horizons spokesperson said:
“Big news…
“We’re pleased to announce the start of Launchpad – Our Youth Trailblazer Programme!
Launchpad is a new approach in breaking down the real barriers standing between 18-21 year olds and meaningful employment.
“Long gone are the days of another generic “CV Workshop”…
“We are built on a fresh perspective: Think real-world skills, building on self-belief and a genuine opportunity to step outside of the norm in a way that actually resonates with today’s youth.
“Our workshops will open doors to young people, not just talking about them. We will learn by doing, not just listening. We’re excited to bring on a bunch of partners, including our local and unique community at The Big Onion Bootle and Southport to help deliver, give insight and rewire the mindset around their next step.
“If you or someone you know in the Sefton borough who would like to find out more, then please contact: Info@thebigonion.co.uk
“We look forward to meeting you.”
