This Halloween Weekend you can enjoy some spectacular days out in Southport!
Here are 10 superb events your family will love including the new Fear By The Pier, 3D Halloween trails, Ghost Train, a Fireworks Extravaganza, Halloween fun at Southport FC, the Day Of The Dead Festival and more:
1 – Fear By The Pier

Families are invited to enjoy the brand new ‘Fear By The Pier’ in Southport this autumn!
This Halloween themed event will take place at family attractions at Kings Gardens in Southport between 11am and 5pm on:
Friday, 31st October 2025
Saturday, 1st November 2025
Sunday, 2nd November 2025
Children will be able to meet at Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant on the Promenade, where they will be able to enjoy a Spooky Kids Meal and grab a ghoulish Goody Bag.
They can take a ride on the famous Silcock’s Carousel, and play 18 holes of crazy golf at Masters Putting Green.
Plus look out for a special appearance from Willow the Witch from Regally Royal Parties!

2 – Monster mashin’ 3D Character Trails

Saturday, 25th October – Sunday, 2nd November 2025
Explore Southport town centre this Halloween by searching for moving monsters and ghoulish ghosts. Pick up a trail map, scan the QR code at each location and watch as spooky 3D characters come to life.
Interact with the monsters and make sure to take as many selfies and videos as you can.
Find them all and you just might be in with the chance of winning some great prizes too.
This new event has been organised by Southport BID.
3 – Fireworks Extravaganza

Enjoy the Brightest Night of the Year this Friday (31st October 2025).
Get ready as Southport Rugby Club’s Fireworks Extravaganza 2025 as it lights up the skies with an unforgettable night of fireworks, food, and family fun!
Hosted by Trevor Ford and broadcast live on Mighty Radio, it’s a night not to miss.

4 – Halloween Disco Bingo

People looking for a terrifyingly terrific night out can look forward to Halloween Disco Bingo at Southport Market!
This spooktacular event, which is for over 18s only, takes place on Friday 31st October 2025, from 7pm until late.
Bingo + Disco = UnBOOlievable fun!
There will be prizes for:
- Best Fancy Dress
- Bingo Winners
- Best Dance Moves (if you dare…)

5 – Ride the Ghost Train

Chuff into the all-new SMEC Ghost Train – a spine-tingling, family-friendly adventure like no other!
Southport Model Engineering Club is organising this event at Victoria Park in Southport on Friday 31st October – Saturday 1st November 2025.
They said: “We use live steam and diesel battery electric operated locomotives to pull up to 7 passengers per train!
“We’ve reimagined the experience for 2025 to become a fully immersive spooky railway journey packed with surprises. Now with Stalls, Games & Refreshments!”

6 – Autumn Clothes Market at Wayfarers Arcade

On Friday 31st October 2025, The Creator’s Studio inside The Engine Room at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport will transform into a seasonal Autumn Clothes Market selling high quality, second-hand children’s clothes. As well as a market, there will also be crafts, coffee and Disney’s Coco!

8 – Frightfully Fun Halloween at Southport Market

Southport Market is hosting a spooktacular half term this Halloween with a wide range of activities from slime workshops with Pebbles & Treasures to Starkidz Halloween parties.

9 – Halloween Spectacular at Southport Football Club

Southport FC is turning Haig Avenue into a family Halloween spectacular this Saturday, 1st November 2025, with a spooky Fanzone party from 1pm followed by the Sandgrounders’ league clash with King’s Lynn (3pm kick-off).
Families can enjoy a Halloween disco, professional face painter, party games, and prizes for the best fancy dress, all before heading into the stands to cheer on Southport in another exciting home fixture.
The club’s Fanzone — already a fan favourite — will be decked out with Halloween décor, music, and activities designed to make it a perfect half-term treat for families looking for affordable fun.
Tickets start from £20 for a family of four, offering brilliant value for a full afternoon of entertainment and football.
Elliott Horan, Southport FC’s Commercial Manager, said:
“We wanted to do something that brings the whole town together for Halloween — not just football fans but families from across Southport. The Fanzone will be full of spooky fun, and then we’ve got a massive league fixture to round off the day. It’s going to be a brilliant atmosphere.”
10 – Day Of The Dead Festival

Adventure Coast Southport’s Day of the Dead Festival returns this November with live shows, family entertainment and dramatic firework finales.
Taking place on Saturday 1st November and Saturday 8th November 2025, this bold celebration of Mexico’s Día de los Muertos offers an evening filled with fire, rhythm and colour.
With gates opening at 4.30pm, the festival’s dynamic programme blends high-energy performance, atmospheric lighting and immersive entertainment, building to a coastal firework finale.
Crowd favourites returning for 2025 include the high-octane samba-reggae drummers Batala and the mesmerising fire dance of the Fuego Chicas.
They will be joined by a vibrant mix of circus artists, stilt walkers, acrobats and surprise pop-up performances across the site.
