The Royales live music venue on Lord Street in Southport has relaunched after a renovation with new bottomless brunches, music décor and a fully loaded 7 inch vinyl jukebox.
Known for a friendly welcome, the south end of Lord Street’s music venue has had a whole makeover including a kitchen renovation, a new disabled access toilet and masses of music memorabilia including rare black and white pictures, guitars and the highlight – a fully loaded 7 inch vinyl jukebox.
Much of the memorabilia has been kindly donated by Southport Musician of the Year, Greg Gavan.
The new manager is a trained mixologist and is bringing a completely new vibe to the venue with imaginative cocktails, spirit mixes and flair.
Bottomless brunches are now available following the kitchen renovation which include tapas style dishes with a twist.
Royales live music venue on Lord Street has rapidly become the latest place to be for musicians and audiences alike in Southport.
Featuring several live music nights a week has certainly drawn in crowds and you will find it difficult to get a seat at Tuesday Club run by Jenny Wren which often features 10 acts including local professional and ‘up and coming’ musicians and vocalists.
Thursday night is the legendary Steve McKenna’s Open Mic Night. McKenna has run his open mic night for thirty years. The Ukulele Jam is the second Wednesday of every month. Weekends feature every Friday and Saturday night, and Saturday and Sunday day.
Regular performers include Steve McKenna, Paul Kappa, Paul Mullen, Greg Gavan, Jenny Wren, Dave Walker, The JKH Band, The Fuse – to name a few.
The venue has been praised for a warm and welcoming atmosphere, its impressive 12 foot wall-mounted electric guitar, beautiful ceiling lights, great drinks and modern yet comfortable seating.
