KGV Sixth Form College student is celebrating winning a gold medal in a national championship, as she continues to compete around Europe. 

Megan Lloyd is part of KGV’s Elite Sports Programme which allows her to combine her sporting ambitions with her college education. 

A spokesperson at KGV in Southport said: “We want to say a massive congratulations to our first year PE A-Level student Megan Lloyd who competed in the Welsh National Criterium Championships. 

“Megan won the gold medal for the Junior category and came 3rd overall out of the Women’s Elite category. We are so proud of her and all of her hard work!

“She has just completed her first season as a junior where she has raced all around Europe in places such as Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, and France. Megan has a bright future ahead of her and we’re so excited to see what she will achieve next.

“Megan is involved with KGV’s Elite Sports Programme, where our Sports staff are working with her coach to create a tailored fitness plan to fit around her studies.”
