Langton Genealogy is delighted to announce that co-founder Claire Miller has once again been awarded Best Probate Research Paralegal at the National Paralegal Awards with CILEX.

Langton Genealogy is a genealogy and probate research company based in Southport that assists legal professionals by tracing missing beneficiaries and next of kin to resolve specialist estate claims.

This is the second year running that Claire Miller has won the accolade of Best Probate Research Paralegal for the National Paralegal Awards. Judges wanted evidence of a commitment to the profession, industry expertise and a dedication to helping the legal sector.

In addition to this award, Claire was also Highly Commended for the Paralegal of the Year award with the Modern Law Awards. This was a significant step forward after being shortlisted for the award in 2023. She needed to demonstrate the positive impact of her work on the industry, how she delivers exceptional client care, her initiative in providing solutions to challenges and how she has exceeded expectations of professionalism.

Langton Genealogy was co-founded by Claire in 2010 with her father who passed away in 2021. After a difficult period of readjustment, Claire moved the business away from predominantly Bona Vacantia cases to focus on estate administration and locating missing beneficiaries.

Claire said: “ I am thrilled to have been awarded Best Probate Research Paralegal again. I have been a finalist for this category for the past four years, highly commended twice and then winner twice. This recognition is important to me because it demonstrates the consistently high level of service provided by me and my company. I thrive on supporting the paralegal profession and my clients through my tenacity and willingness to take on cases that look impossible to solve.”

To develop her knowledge and be truly accountable to her industry, Claire has joined many leading industry committees and became a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals in 2021.

Through her membership of Women in Wills she has taken the lead on charity partnerships and organises regular Dementia Friends sessions: “A large part of the award process is about the supporting evidence: case studies and testimonials from clients, and support of our industry. I will continue to get involved in as many industry steering groups and committees as possible to support industry initiatives and accountability. This is how I believe I can make a real difference.”
