The Salt and Tar Comedy Weekender returns to Bootle town centre tonight (Thursday 23rd May 2024), kicking off with a special charity show featuring 11 local comedians at the very start of their career with Bootle Stands Up.

It features ten ordinary individuals, coached by professional comedian Brendan Riley with over 30 years of stand-up experience.

They’ve had six weeks of comedy workshops to learn the art of stand-up comedy; and a goal to raise money for a fantastic local charity, Ykids, based in Bootle, with the event sponsored by Dowhigh.

Tickets, just £5 each (plus booking fee) are available here

Elsewhere over the weekend, there will be performances by Gary Delaney, Seann Walsh, and the much-loved Disco Bingo. Young comedy and magic fans are sure to enjoy the Family Fundays on Saturday and Sunday too.

All details and tickets can be found on the Salt and Tar website.
