Singer-guitarist Neville Grundy, who lives in Southport, will be giving a unique concert to raise funds for the charity, Target Ovarian Cancer.

On Friday 6th January 2023, he will play an evening of songs all written by the British singer-songwriter Al Stewart, best known in the UK for his hit single, Year of the Cat.

Neville will be supported by local singer-guitarists, Chris Nelson, Chris Wilson and Pete Rimmer, who all regularly perform in the resort. They will be entering into the spirit of the evening also by singing Al Stewart songs.

Neville said: “Sadly I lost a beloved family member at a very young age to this disease which is far too often detected only when it’s too late. Any money we can raise will all go to an excellent cause.”

The venue is Edda, the Community Arts and Library on Liverpool Road in Ainsdale, Southport. Tickets will be available on the door and will cost £10.

As Edda has waived its room fee for the charity event, every penny raised will go to the good cause. The evening begins at 7.30pm.
