About:

We love music, we love colour, and we love gasping with delight at the spectacular fireworks displays. Southport’s British Musical Fireworks Championship is back with a bang! Our three-night festival runs from Friday 23rd September to Sunday 25th September in Victoria Park, Southport.

Don’t miss out on our pyrotechnic, musical extravaganza! Tickets are on sale now! You can buy a full weekend ticket or just pick which night. Children under 5 are FREE.

We just love the things that make us go ooooh!

It’s almost time to grab a blanket and head to Victoria Park to celebrate the start of the Autumn with Southport’s British Musical Fireworks Championship. We can’t wait for the breath-taking displays, children gasping with delight, and dancing the night away at our favourite fireworks extravaganza!

We just love things that make us go aaaaah!

We so excited to watch this year’s competitors battle it out over the three nights, each hoping to be crowned the ultimate winner! Our panel of professional judges will be scoring throughout.

The British Musical Fireworks Championship is a pyro musical competition. The fireworks are fired to the music and the show is choreographed to give you some of the most spectacular fireworks you will ever see.

During the competition, over two tonnes of explosive material are used with the total weight of fireworks over 10 tonnes! Each show required around 5 kilometres of wire to connect the electrical circuits and around 15 technicians working for over 12 hours to set up the display.

We love fireworks! And we Love Southport.
