Volunteers will be out and about in Southport town centre this Saturday (5th March) collecting donations for victims of the war in Ukraine.
Members of Southport Meols Rotary will be joined by other Rotarians as they ask people for their support.
A Southport Meols Rotary spokesperson said: “This Saturday we have obtained a street license to collect for Humanitarian Aid For Ukraine.
“We are only a club of 10 members, so joining us are other Southport Rotary clubs.
“We will be standing at these points between 9am-5pm in Southport: Lord Street, between the junctions of Nevill Street and Eastbank Street, and Chapel Street.
“We will have card machines as well as a cash collection, so please dig deep if you have any change or of course notes please pop along, say hello and donate what you can.
“We would be very grateful if people could share this post, and to any past members or our friends to reach out to us to help us collect as much as we can.”
