The Southport Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival is back in town this October!
The Festival takes place at The Atkinson in Southport on Sunday, 10th October 2021, between 2pm and 10pm.
Get ready to tap your feet and celebrate the best of folk and acoustic roots music at The Atkinson.
Organisers are looking forward to welcoming some of the biggest names in blues, rock and folk to Southport in an immersive programme which presents familiar names alongside exciting new voices.
Meet the performers:
Sari Schorr
Sari first burst onto the Blues-Rock scene in 2016 with her critically acclaimed debut album, A Force of Nature, produced by iconic British Blues pioneer Mike Vernon (David Bowie, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green).
From her humble beginnings, working the music scene in the legendary South Bronx of New York and on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, to a performance at Carnegie Hall, the operatically trained tornado stood her ground as a phenomenal Blues-Rock singer who would not be denied.
Sari’s home is her suitcase and her path has always taken her on the road less travelled. Her life is a story of never giving up, being true to yourself and pursuing your passions against all odds. It’s a story that is incredibly inspirational and a reminder why we should Never Say Never!
Dana Gillespie
Over an illustrious career, starting in the heyday of London’s swinging sixties and still going strong, the multi award winning Blues Diva has been touring the world as a true ambassador of the risqué blues.
Kyla Brox
Blues and soul become inextricably entwined in award-winning singer-songwriter, Kyla Brox, whose raw talent has seen her described as “the finest female blues singer of her generation”.
The Cinelli Brothers
Marco & Alessandro Cinelli champion a new generation of musicians sharing a love of Blues, Soul and R&B, with authentic sounds that have made blues a cornerstone of music history.
Connor Selby
With his soulful vocals and his distinctive guitar playing, Connor Selby evokes the British blues boom of the 1960’s. In July 2019, Selby was selected to appear at Wembley Stadium supporting The Who, Kaiser Chiefs, Imelda May and Eddie Vedder.
The Mojo Preachers
A five-piece, female fronted, boundary-pushing outfit, delivering hard-hitting original tunes; conjuring up a melodiously intricate, authentic yet unconventional sound!
