The Covid-19 vaccination programme continues to be rolled out in Sefton – the biggest in NHS history – and GP-led services in the borough are looking for volunteers to help support the safe and smooth running of this work.

Registered charity Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Southport & Formby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are working in partnership to register and mobilise volunteers to support the vaccination programme.

They said: “A coordinated effort is important to ensure that as many people as possible across Sefton receive the vaccination safely and effectively.

“The programme is designed so that people can sign-up to volunteer in a range of different roles, depending on availability and preference.

“We are looking for volunteers at Vaccination Centres in the South of the borough located in Bootle and Maghull, and those in the North are located at Southport Centre for Wellbeing and Ainsdale Centre for Wellbeing.”
