6 – Artisan Market

Independent Street is delighted to announce a brand-new exciting event for 2026 – Southport Artisan Market!
Working in collaboration with Southport Market Hall and Sefton Council the award-winning artisan market operator is excited to drop anchor on the first Saturday of the month from March 2026.
The Southport Artisan Market will celebrate local makers and artisans and will feature just shy of 70 small independent businesses monthly both inside the market hall and outside on the newly-pedestrianised Market Street.
The market has a long history, and it has been a central hub for locals and visitors alike, providing a variety of goods, food, and services. Over the years, the market has undergone several transformations to keep up with changing trends and consumer needs.
From the very best of local award-winning food, to fresh produce, arts and craft and vintage wares … plus live music and free children’s craft activities, there will be something for everyone!
Independent Street champions small businesses and provides a platform for local artisans to showcase to their community.
There will be inside and outside trade options available and local artisans are asked to get in touch to showcase.

10 – Comedy Bingo Winter Socials
This winter, warm yourself up with the return of the Comedy Bingo Winter Socials!
These popular fortnightly events returned to Southport Market on 22nd October 2025 and are set to continue until April 2026 with dates to be announced via the events page on the Southport market website.
They are sponsored by Halliwell Jones Kia and are supported by the Sefton Council Tourism team.
Doors open at 1pm for a 1.30pm start and run until 3.30pm.
The Comedy Bingo Winter Socials are hosted by Comedy Bingo owner and local comedian Brendan Riley.
Admission is just £3 each, which includes a free drink and bingo books.
Players have the chance to win some fabulous prizes thanks to generous local businesses including Crystal Clear Opticians, Silcock Leisure Group, The Atkinson, Southport Market, Southport Flower Show, Vue Cinema, FenneeKay Hair & Beauty, Tesco, Tapper’s Cafe, Masters Putting Green and others.
