West Lancs Lacemakers are looking forward to visiting Wayfarers Shopping Arcade in Southport town centre on Saturday, 13th July 2024.
This will be a great opportunity for everyone to experience the ancient craft of lace making within the stunning arcade on Lord Street.
Three Bobbin lacemakers will be demonstrating and making their own lace on the day and there will be a practice pillow for anyone to have a go, all you need to be able to do to start is count to four!
The group is a registered charity dedicated to promoting and maintaining the craft of lace making.
Formed in 1979 they meet regularly in Crosby and would be delighted to welcome new members, so whether you are a complete novice or have experience you would be sure of a warm welcome.
On Saturday 13th July 2024 in Wayfarers there will be a stand exhibiting some of the lace made by their members as well as small lace items for sale for club funds.
