The West Lancashire Cricket Society is returning to S&B Sports Club on Trafalgar Road in Birkdale in Southport this Wednesday (19th October 2022), for the start of its Winter programme.
This week’s meeting sees the Society’s AGM at 7.30pm, prior to the appearance of prolific cricket author and publisher Stephen Chalke at 8pm as the guest speaker.
The other speakers this Winter season are:
November 16 – George Dobell Acclaimed cricket journalist and ghost writer of Jonathan Trott’s autobiography.
December 21 – Paul Shaw Lancashire CCC director of women’s cricket.
January 18 – Bill Athey Former Yorkshire and England batsman and Worcestershire CCC head coach.
February 15 – two Lancashire Women players (tbc)
April 7 – Annual Dinner with Charles Dagnall Former Warwickshire and Leicestershire fast bowler, now a TMS, Sky and BT Sport commentator.
Membership is open to all and costs £30 for the full Winter programme, or £40 for joint membership. Guests are also welcome at £8 per meeting, refundable on conversion to full membership.
