Tables for two pop-up craft festive fairs at Wayfarers shopping Arcade in Southport have become full in just a few hours after a huge response through Stand Up For Southport.
The historic arcade will present pop-up craft festive fairs on Saturday 27th November and Saturday 4th December.
Wayfarers, at the heart of Lord Street, yesterday offered the opportunity for small businesses and local charities to sell craft and Christmas goods within the splendid arcade, which this year has a breathtaking new Christmas theme which is fully lit by thousands of lights.
Tables for the craft fair have been provided at no cost as Wayfarers wants to support local retail businesses and charities.
A post on Stand Up For Southport yesterday enjoyed a huge response, reaching over 5,300 people, with over 50 comments and 23 shares.
Organisers of the event have now booked more than double the stalls they anticipated, after being inundated with requests from local businesses and charities.
They have now set up a waiting list for anyone else interested in the event- please email margaret@mtmarketing.net in the first instance with who you are and what you are wanting to sell if you wish to be considered.
People are now being invited to book the dates in their diaries for the craft festive fairs at Wayfarers shopping Arcade in Southport on Saturday 27th November and Saturday 4th December.
Wayfarers Arcade Centre Manager, Yvonne Burns said: “We have long been known for supporting smaller enterprises.
“Most of our tenants are independent small businesses.
“But as it is the festive season, we want to also support other local, small enterprises that have interesting goods to sell.
“Saturday 4th December is small business Saturday and we have decided to enable smaller businesses to also be part of this special day.
“Also, on 4th December we will be launching our Santa experience / grotto which is always a sell out so we are looking forward to a very busy day!
