A thriving Southport business is celebrating its 60th birthday, after a remarkable journey from a small renovated dairy farm to becoming a global leader in power control products.
United Automation, a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial power control products, which is based at Southport Business Park on Wight Moss Way, was founded in 1964.

United Automation Managing Director Dean Fashoni said ‘family’ would be the one word which best describes the firm, as he follows in his father’s footsteps in achieving outstanding results.

A Legacy of Innovation and Excellence
United Automation was founded in 1964 and quickly established itself as a pioneer in power electronics. In 1992, Ben Fashoni took over the company, bringing innovative designs that propelled United Automation to new heights. Under his leadership, the company relocated to a purpose-built factory in 1999 and inaugurated the new building in 2000 where United Automation currently operates. Following Ben’s retirement in April 2017, Dean Fashoni took over as Managing Director, continuing the legacy of excellence and innovation.
