The Victoria pub in Southport is reopening its doors this Easter weekend.

The popular Promenade pub, with one of the most popular beer gardens in town, will welcome customers back on Good Friday (11th April 2025).

‘The Vic’ will be serving drinks only at first, with no food, but may introduce some food items soon.

The pub is opening on a temporary basis from Easter weekend and through until the end of summer.

It is being operated by Thwaites brewery, and is on a tenancy to licensee John Parkinson.

John Parkinson said: “The Easter period has started with some superb weather, and

people are saying we’re due for a really good summer too.

“When the sun comes out, The Victoria is a fantastic place to be with that big beer garden on

the Promenade.

“It’s a massive sun trap, and so popular with local people and all the visitors who come to

Southport.

“We have been doing some work there over the past few days, doing up the planters, tidying up

the beer garden, and getting everything ready for when we reopen.

“The Victoria will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, depending on the weather.

“We will have live music with singers on from 4pm every Saturday and Sunday.

“Table service will be available, or you can order drinks at the bar.”
