The whisky-inspired Dram Gift Shop in Churchtown is celebrating its first birthday today (Sunday 30th April 2023) by announcing plans to move to bigger new premises!

The shop, at 76 Botanic Road, is famous for its extensive range of top quality whisky bottles and whisky-inspired gifts.

The good news for connoisseurs is that the move will also allow the shop to stock rum products too.

The Dram Gift Shop owner Darren Boyd-Preece said: “Today is our actual birthday, we are now one year old!

“And for our birthday we have secured a new shop…

“We will be moving in over the next month to No. 80 Botanic Road, so only two doors down from our current shop.

“The new premises will boast a bigger and more plush tasting area, more room for our fabulous gifts and of course a larger selection of whisky and as a new addition RUM!

“We will post updates on our social media channels as we refurbish the shop and let you know when the grand re-opening will be.

“Thanks for everyone’s support over the last 12 months.”

The Dram Gift Shop opened in Churchtown in Southport on Saturday, 30th April 2022, providing an even greater choice for discerning food and drink lovers in the picturesque shopping village.

The Dram Gift Shop offers goods such as hip flasks, whisky glasses, whisky infused tea, whisky perfume and a choice of 35-40 carefully selected fine whiskies.

Shoppers can try some of the whisky on offer inside the shop before they buy.

The Dram Gift Shop has added to the quality food and drink choice already provided by the likes of Churchtown Deli, which also sells alcohol and holds tasting events, as well as RS Fine Chocolate, Peets Plaice fishmongers, Graham Eyes butchers and others.

The new business filled another empty retail unit on Botanic Road, adding to the vitality of the Village, increasing Churchtown’s reputation as a home to a growing number of quality local independent businesses.
