Students at King George V Sixth Form College in Southport are celebrating their A-Level results today!

After the challenges education has faced during the pandemic, it is fantastic to see KGV students achieve excellent grades yet again.

With incredible pass rates and an impressive number of students receiving the top grades, the sixth form college is celebrating the accomplishments of its students.

Success was not limited to A-levels, as the students studying vocational qualifications also received excellent results for their BTEC Advanced Level Extended Diplomas, equivalent to three A-Levels.

King George V Sixth Form College Principal Michelle Brabner said:

“We are so proud of all our students and their individual achievements. The excellent A Level results reflect the determination and hard work of KGV students and staff.

“Equally, our BTEC students have excelled themselves, securing very impressive high grades. “The class of 2021 faced challenges, and are a credit to the College, their families and Southport.

“Our students have achieved such excellent results. They will be progressing onto some of the UK’s top universities, including Oxford, studying courses such as medicine, law, and veterinary science. We are so very proud of everything they have achieved here at KGV Sixth Form, and we wish them every success for their future.”

Kathy Passant, Chair of Governors, said:

“We are very proud of our students and it is wonderful to see their talent and resilience being recognised through these results.

On behalf of the governing board, I’d like to congratulate all students and staff, whose hard work and commitment have produced such impressive outcomes.”

The College is currently enrolling new students for September online and from this Thursday, enrolment will also be taking place at the KGV Sixth Form campus on Scarisbrick New Road.
