Students at Christ The King Catholic High School and Sixth form Centre enjoyed a “fantastic GCSE results day” this year as teaching staff expressed their pride in the hard work put in by students.
A school spokesperson said: “It has been a fantastic results day again for Christ The King and we are incredibly proud of the achievements of a year group that have overcome so many challenges along the way.
“We are delighted to have ensured that all our pupils have achieved the grades they need for their next steps, some with us and others moving to pastures new.
“We have seen an increase in our pupils achieving our higher grades in English and maths.
“We have had a 50% increase in the proportion of Grade 9s and a 40% increase in grade 7s and a 17% increase in grade 5s.
“This highlights the schools recent OFSTED Report of Good across all aspects for their quality of Education that pupils receive at CTK – “They enjoy a calm and respectful environment that helps them to study and learn.“
“We are so proud to be part of this fantastic community.”
Students at Christ The King Catholic High School and Sixth form Centre is hosting an Open Evening on Tuesday, 17th September 2024.
The event will take place between 5.30pm and 8pm, with Headteacher presentations at 6pm and 8pm.
Visitors to the school, at Stamford Road in Birkdale in Southport, are invited to call in for an enjoyable and informative evening to gain an insight to life at CTK.
