What happened last year with the Southport tragedy affected the club deeply in many ways.

This weekend is their time to help make a difference.

The club has asked to add a bee symbol to this year’s cricket shirts — a gesture to honour Bebe, alongside Alder Hey.

The junior shirts already feature the early bee design.

Now, the adult team will proudly wear the official Bebe’s Hive logo.

Bebe’s Hive said: “It would be great for people to come along and meet the team and see what we’re doing and how important it is for the community.”
