Southport Market paid partnership 

The Market Quarter Festival takes place in Southport this Saturday (18th July 2026), with a packed day of entertainment! 

Southport Market Quarter will come alive with lots of live music, family entertainment, community activities and independent traders.

Running from 10am until 8pm, this family-friendly festival will showcase some of the region’s best live music acts across indoor and outdoor stages, alongside family attractions, children’s entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere.

The event forms part of Southport Market‘s wider programme of activities and aims to celebrate the town’s thriving independent business community while providing a fantastic day out for residents and visitors alike.

It is among a wide range of live music and events taking place throughout Southport during The 154th Open Golf Championship, which will see 300,000 global visitors arrive in town to watch all the action at Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

Live Music Across Two Stages

Music will take place throughout the afternoon and evening across both the outdoor Main Stage on Market Street and the indoor Acoustic Stage inside Southport Market.

Family Entertainment

Families will be able to enjoy a range of activities throughout the day, including the popular Big Family Disco, taking place at 12pm and 3pm in the Extravaganza Room.

The ticketed event will include:

  • Live DJs
  • Children’s entertainers
  • Party games
  • Giveaways
  • Bouncy castle

Visitors can also enjoy Mr Tumble & Friends from 10am until 12pm on the outdoor stage, offering free family entertainment to start the day.

Irish Entertainment at Connolly’s

Festival-goers can also enjoy a lively programme of Irish entertainment at Connolly’s on King Street, featuring live singers, traditional Irish music and karaoke throughout the day.

Supporting Local Businesses

The festival will showcase independent market traders and local businesses, giving visitors the opportunity to shop local, discover unique products and enjoy food and drink from Southport Market’s popular traders.

With live music, children’s attractions, local businesses and entertainment throughout the day, the Market Quarter Festival promises to be one of Southport’s standout community events of the summer.
