This weekend’s Southport Makers Market will now take place indoors rather than outside, due to windy weather being forecast for Southport.
The event will now take place inside the new event space inside the new look Southport Market, between 11am and 4pm this Sunday (7th November), with artisan stalls from across the North West.
The Makers Market takes place on Market Street, next to Southport Market, on the first Sunday of every month. Due to its growing popularity, it had been due to expand onto King Street too.
A Southport Makers Market spokesperson said: “We have been working hard today with Southport Market to ensure Sunday’s Southport Makers Market continues.
“Unfortunately there are very high winds this Sunday which would have made an outdoor market unsafe to put on.
“Thankfully we are able to utilise the event space at the back of the Market hall and around the site.
“The market will be a bit slightly smaller but will contain your market favourites.
“We can’t wait to see you inside Southport Market, 11am-4pm, Sunday 7th of November!”
People are also being encouraged to shop local and eat local this weekend, with Southport Market open this Sunday as well as lots of superb independent shops, bars and restaurants in Southport Market Quarter and throughout the town centre.
