The Southport Charity Match is back for its second year this August!
General sale tickets are now live for this popular fundraising event which will take place at Southport Football Club, Haig Avenue, Southport PR8 6JZ on Saturday 1st August 2026.

The first Southport Charity Match took place at Southport FC on 3rd August 2025, raising an incredible £48,000 for the 24 Southport families impacted by the 2024 summer’s Southport tragedy.
A total of £46,344 was raised through the Southport Together event, with new Southport FC owners Kieran Malone and David Cunningham donating a further £1,656.
The day was organised by Southport Hesketh Round Table and Southport FC and hosted a long list of celebrity footballers, boxers, actors, social media stars and more.
There was a special moment when Sergio Aguiar, Dave Stancombe and Aaron Taylor came onto the pitch to play their part in the match.
The event was hosted by In Demand Radio presenter Claire Simmo with special guests including champion boxer Tony Bellew and Mayor of Sefton Cllr June Burns.
The game ended in a thrilling 5–5 draw, with the Blue Team, managed by John Aldridge, claiming victory on penalties against the Gold Team, led by Joe Royle.
A Southport FC spokesperson said: “After an incredible day last year that saw over £48,000 raised for families across Southport, we’re coming back together once again for another unforgettable day for our community.
“Expect more celebrities, familiar faces from last year, entertainment, atmosphere and a brilliant family day at Haig Avenue.
“We’re expecting this one to sell out and together, let’s see if we can raise even more this time around!”
