Element5 Hair and Beauty salon on Tulketh Street in Southport

A Southport beauty salon owner says her “phone has not stopped ringing” as she looks forward to finally reopening on Monday (12 April) after the easing of national Covid-19 restrictions.

Tracy Badley Robinson, who owns Element5 on Tulketh Street in Southport town centre, says she and her staff are “very excited” to be able to see their loyal customers once again.

It is a situation mirrored at personal care businesses across Southport, with local residents desperate to call in after months in lockdown.

Element5 is a hairdressing, make-up and nail salon that is well-known for its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Established in 2010, its primary mission is to provide the highest level of customer service and expertise to each client, thereby establishing a long lasting relationship of trust and commitment.

Element5 is among over 80 local businesses in the town centre which accept Southport Gift Card, a Southport BID initiative which aims to encourage people to spend local.

Tracy said: “We are very excited to welcome back existing and new clients to Element5 on  Monday 12 April.

“The phone has not stopped, messages keep coming online for appointments and we are very busy initially on opening.

“We are asking clients to be very patient with us as we try our best to accommodate everyone as soon as is physically possible.”

Over the past few days, local business owners have been working hard to ensure that their premises are spotlessly clean with lots of Covid safe measures in place.

Tracy said: “The salon has been cleaned within an inch of its life to ensure hygiene is of a high standard.

“The normal Covid safety measures will be in place with social distancing, mask wearing to ensure everybody feels as safe as possible.

“All salon services will be available to book including, Ladies, Gents & Children’s hairdressing services, Make-Up, H.D. Brows & Lamination, Acrylic Nails, Manicures & Pedicures.

“We have little surprise treats ready to give our clients upon their return.

“We are ready to give our clients a professional uplifting, warm, friendly and fun visit, which we think everybody is ready for.”
