Get ready to ‘set sail’ at the Southport and Formby Cruise Show this weekend.
Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, located on Southport Old Road in Formby, is hosting the show on Sunday 15th September 2024.
Visitors can expect exclusive cruise deals on the day and will be able to speak with travel advisors and cruise suppliers who will have stalls around the room. Admission is free.
Gill Williams from Southport Cruise & Travel Village, who is hosting the event said: “It’s a really, really great day.
“It’s a chance for anyone to get more information and find out what it’s about.”
Gill is passionate about cruises, having worked on a ship before and taking many cruises for personal holidays.
“I couldn’t choose a favourite,” she added.
“There’s so many. I’ve been to Alaska, on river cruises and around the Mediterranean.
“Each is different and has its own unique charm.”
The event will run from 12pm to 4pm and visitors can drop in and out anytime.
Whether you have cruised before, or are new to cruising, there will be something for everyone.
“There are so many different types of cruises, there’s something for everyone, for families to travellers who want adventure and retired people.
“Just come and talk to us, we can dispel any myths or worries.
“I can’t wait to meet everyone, the whole team is buzzing.”
In addition to providing information and exclusive deals, the Southport and Formby Cruise Show also plans to hold a raffle, with the money raised going towards the Southport Strong Together Appeal.
Prizes have been donated by the cruise suppliers who will be at the event.
Gill said: “August was a very dark time for Southport, we just want to do our bit.”
