Solid Sheds is encouraging local businesses to show their backing for Southport Football Club after sponsoring an advertising board at Haig Avenue.

The fast-growing family firm has just opened its newest outlet, at Dobbies Garden Centre in the town.

Solid Sheds offers a range of garden sheds for sale in a variety of shapes and sizes, ideal to suit whichever garden space you have.

Made from the highest quality pressure-treated timber, its eco-friendly wooden sheds are designed to last for decades.

Families can choose from a range of designs, from a summer house to a wendy house for the kids to an insulated home studio or garden office shed. If you’re looking for a classic garden workshop or potting shed, they’re available too.

They are all hand-crafted in a purpose-built factory in Skelmersdale in West Lancashire, with the company now employing over 80 people.

Solid Sheds started off at Lady Green Garden Centre in Ince Blundell in 2010 and is keen to further develop its strong roots within the area.

Solid Sheds CEO Andy Hayes said:

“We had an advertising board at Southport Football Club a few years ago.

“We are really pleased to be back there again, supporting the town’s local football club and reinforcing our brand with a large local audience.

“We are looking to become more involved, enjoying some corporate hospitality and becoming a matchday sponsor. There are lots of different opportunities available for local firms.

“I love non-league football, and all forms of grassroots sport. As well as Southport FC, we also sponsor a ladies’ football team and an up-and-coming golfer in Formby.

“Southport Football Club needs and deserves the support of local businesses.

“I hope Southport FC do really well this season and next season.”

Steven Brown, from Southport FC, said:

“It’s great to have Andy on board to showcase his business at Haig Avenue for the rest of this season and the whole of the next.

“Solid Sheds have recently opened their new showroom over at Dobbies and we would urge all Southport FC supporters to check them out.

“If any other companies would like more information in supporting their local football club or to develop some brand awareness please contact me via email at: steve.brown@southportfc.net or call me on: 07809489370.”
