The Grand Southport Head Chef Callum King said:

“We have had a busy first few days at Harry’s!

“There have been lots of people coming to have a look at what it has to offer.

“It’s a stunning space! It’s taken a few months to create and a lot of hard work and it’s all been worth it.

“It’s a fantastic place to be. There’s nothing else like it, not just in Southport, but in the North West. It’s unique.

“It’s a beautiful terrace where people can sit either outside or inside, sharing good times with family and friends, relaxing with great music, great food and out of this world cocktails created by Harry’s Operations Manager Michael Howard.

“Our team has worked together to create the perfect dishes to match the venue and the atmosphere.

“We have gone down the route of Fusion Asian food, with a fun twist.

“Our chefs have a very strong Mediterranean and Asian background, so we have really played to their strengths, knowledge and skills to design some exceptional dishes.

“We have three different platters, which are perfect for two or three people to share.

“Our Small Plates and Nibbles are ideal for when you’re sitting outside in the sunshine and sipping a cocktail, a sparkling wine or a nice cold beer.

“Every dish on the menu is packed with flavour. The dishes taste fantastic and look really eye-catching. We have taken them to another level with lots of components that work very well together.

“Our feedback so far has been excellent. Customers are loving the new dishes and the new cocktails. They have been a real talking point.

“If anyone comes to visit Harry’s who feels like a more substantial three course meal, then we have other menus available downstairs at The Grand.”

The first phase of The Grand opened on 15th July 2022, following a £4 million transformation by Mikhail Hotel & Leisure Group. It saw the creation of 60 local jobs.

Guests can enjoy The Grand Brasserie and Chloe’s Bar on the ground floor. The 250-seater Princess Grace function room and wedding suite on the first floor has become the premier events and function room in Southport, catering for events, weddings, celebrations and conferences.

The reopening of The Grand in 2022 represented Phase One of the firm’s proposals for the site.

Phase Two would see the creation of a wellness centre, spa and hotel rooms.
