People are being invited to help create more inclusive streets in Sefton through the Inclusive and Accessible Streets Forum.

The forum has been set up to help Sefton Council work together with residents around issues of inclusion and accessibility in the street scene.

Aims of the forum

The forum aims to work together to raise awareness of issues that affect those who use the streets, consider if services are working well, and support more people and organisations to understand the needs of people.

The forum meets every three months, with the next meeting on Wednesday 28th January 2026, to show and talk about plans and ideas for the transport and highway improvements in Sefton.

How to get involved

To get involved, make a request to become a member using the sign-up form on Your Sefton Your Say. Meetings will be held in person, with the option to join via Zoom, if necessary.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Cabinet Member for Skills, Regeneration and Economy said: “The Inclusive and Accessible Streets Forum is an opportunity for people to get involved in helping shape our streets in Sefton.

“This group is a way for us to work together with those most affected to positively influence the lives of people using the streets of Sefton.”
