Last year’s winner was the G:Force Gospel Choir.

G:Force Gospel Choir is embedded within the Music Department at Formby High.

It is in huge demand to support local and regional charities.

It’s a truly intergenerational choir consisting of staff, parents, colleagues, friends and family from across the community.

A major focus is the Alder Centre (at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital) which holds a unique place in the singers’ hearts – performances at the annual Candle Service in Liverpool Cathedral, provide timely reflection and encouragement to over 2,000 people touched by child bereavement.

A Finalist in the category was Brittany Feeney.

Brittany gives her time free to teach and lead dance workshops. She has her own platform KIID kindness and inclusion in dance . She believes every child should have the opportunity to experience performance regardless of gender, disability or financial disadvantage.

She has helped raise over £30,000 for various charities last year.

Despite being diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition at 26 she raises money for British Heart Foundation and supports Claire House and Zoe’s place.

Our second Finalist was Wayfarers Arcade.

Last year the Heritage Creative Group launched a new ‘Creative Village’ events calendar at the historic landmark.

They attracted tens of thousands of visitors through bringing life back to the arcade, with imaginative events such as a Venetian Carnival, a Flower Festival, with a May Day celebration and a Global Village event celebrating people around the world.

The events celebrated arts and culture; they celebrated heritage; and they attracted new visitors and potential new tenants, as they worked to secure the arcade’s regeneration.
