Thank you to everyone who came to our monthly Sandgrounders Business Club networking event at Southport Football Club last night.
Guests heard from some superb speakers, including David Quilliam, owner of Discretion Hearing in Southport, and Jonathan Cunningham, from Southport First Responders and Storm Consultancy.
We also heard from Terri Marie Appleyard, the new Hospitality and Events Manager at Southport FC, with the night expertly hosted by business consultant Bev Howard owner of BOSS Consulting.
Our next meeting has a Christmas theme!
It takes place from 5pm on Thursday 11th December 2025 with wine tasting by Ryan Lewis from Hidden Vines along with a Christmas Business Quiz hosted by Bev Howard.
Christmas attire is welcome!
There will be a prize for the best Christmas jumper on show – and a prize for the worst!
Sandgrounders Business Club takes place at Southport Football Club on Haig Avenue, Southport, PR8 6JZ.
It is free for all to attend, no registration needed.
Doors open at 5pm for an hour of open networking.
There is free roadside parking with the doors opening at 5pm.

“There is no requirement to pre-book a place, just turn up on the night.”
Sandgrounders Business Club encourages individuals to meet, network, pitch and develop business.
Alongside networking and sharing great ideas with like-minded individuals, Sandgrounders Business Club provides you with an opportunity to connect your business to an ever-growing local and national audience reached by Southport FC through matchday advertising, branding on the official club website and entertaining clients with matchday VIP hospitality.
People are then free to stay for more networking and to chat with other business owners present.
It is a relaxed, friendly, informal event to help support local businesses in Southport and the surrounding area.
The gathering is open to businesses in the Southport area and beyond.
Visitors are welcome to drop in and stay and network, or chat with other local business people, for as long or as little as they like.
Unlike other networking groups, there are no contracts involved, no fees and no restrictions on numbers of people in each profession.
Each month sees two guest speakers invited to give short talks to guests – one a sponsored speaker, the other a community / local interest speaker.
The sponsored speaker spot costs £75.
