“This Friday my very first show on Sandgrounder Radio in my home town will be following that legend!

“I am looking forward to being part of this team who have already made me feel so welcome.

“Make sure you’re listening between 2pm and 4pm this Friday! Mainly to see if I manage to break anything on my first day…”

Station Manager Andrew Hilbert said: “We’re delighted to announce that the lovely Claire Simmo is joining the team here at Sandgrounder Radio.

“Simmo is no stranger to radio, having been a familiar voice on the North West airwaves, out of Liverpool, for a number of years.

“She is a local girl from Southport and you will be hearing a lot more of her in the coming weeks.

“Simmo is making her Sandgrounder Radio Debut this Friday afternoon from 2pm.

“Welcome to the team Claire!”
