Following the incredible success of last year’s sold-out Summer Ball, Queenscourt Hospice is inviting the local community to join them once again for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and fundraising at the very first Queenscourt Masquerade Ball, taking place on Saturday 5th September 2026 at The Grand, Southport.

Last year’s event welcomed over 200 supporters and raised more than £22,500 to help fund the specialist care and support Queenscourt Hospice provides to local people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. This year, the hospice hopes to make the event bigger, with the ambition of raising even more to support its vital services.

Returning with an exciting new Masquerade theme, guests can expect an evening of glamour, mystery and celebration, complete with a welcome drink on arrival, a delicious three-course dinner, live entertainment throughout the evening and plenty of opportunities to support the hospice through an exciting raffle and auction.

The Proprietors are back by popular demand, their energetic live performance had guests filling the dance floor, their return promises another fantastic evening of entertainment.

The event comes at an important time for Queenscourt Hospice. Earlier this year, the local charity launched its Keep Queenscourt in Service campaign after announcing a recovery plan to address a £2 million annual funding gap.

While the hospice has made encouraging progress thanks to the incredible support of the local community, fundraising events such as the Masquerade Ball remain vital in helping to secure the long-term future of specialist hospice care across West Lancashire, Southport and Formby.

Whether attending with friends, family or colleagues, the Masquerade Ball offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a memorable evening while making a meaningful difference.

Businesses are also encouraged to get involved. Sponsorship packages are still available, offering organisations the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to supporting local hospice care while gaining valuable exposure at one of Southport’s premier charity events.

Liz Hartley, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice, said:

“Last year’s Ball was a fantastic celebration of our community, raising over £22,500 to support local hospice care. This year, we’re aiming even higher. We can’t wait to welcome guests to our Masquerade Ball for a brilliant evening of entertainment, while helping Queenscourt continue its recovery and provide the specialist care that local families rely on.”

Tickets are available to purchase individually or as a full table, making the event perfect for friends, families, businesses and corporate groups looking to enjoy a special evening together.
