The Pride Of Sefton Awards like you to help us celebrate anyone you know in Sefton who has made great efforts to improve diversity and inclusion in our area.
The Diversity and Inclusion Award is sponsored by Sefton Council, which has hailed the “fantastic opportunity to celebrate the very best of the best within our communities across the borough”.
Sefton is a truly welcoming borough. We’d would love to hear about all those who have gone out of their way to promote diversity and inclusion within our area.
People and groups who go above and beyond to make Sefton a special place for all will be presented with their trophies and given thanks in the Princess Grace Suite at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport town centre on Friday, 28th April 2023.
Organisers would love to hear from people across Bootle, Crosby, Southport,. Maghull, Formby, Aintree and across Sefton.

Cllr Trish Hardy, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, said:
“The inaugural Pride of Sefton Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the very best of the best within our communities across the borough.
“We are a truly welcoming borough, which means we are rich with everyday heroes, both young and old, who represent the great and good of Sefton across the region and beyond.
“As a Local Authority we are sponsoring the Diversity and Inclusion Award and we would love to see nominations for those community champions who have gone out of their way to promote diversity and inclusion within our borough.”
The Pride of Sefton Awards night is an unmissable fixture in the Merseyside events calendar.
It will be presented by actress and radio personality Claire Simmo and former Sky Sports News presenter Fraser Dainton, and supported by Media Partner In Demand Radio.
All those on the shortlist will be invited to a special celebratory meal in beautiful surroundings while the awards are presented, with a night of entertainment planned.
The first ever Pride Of Sefton Awards are being organised by Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group and Stand Up For Southport.
Nominations are still being invited across all 13 categories ahead of the closing date on 6th March 2023.
