Food lovers enjoyed the opportunity to learn how to make the perfect Neapolitan pizza from two of the top experts in the business.

The Pizza 101 masterclass was held at Southport Market, and led by Dan Johnstone, owner of 600 Degrees in the Market, and James Swire, owner of Graft Pizza.

It was a superb day designed for home pizza enthusiasts, budding chefs and established professionals keen to learn new skills.

Dan is now looking forward to presenting a new pizza masterclass – this time for children.

The Children’s Pizza Workshop will take place at 600 Degrees in Southport Market during Half Term week, from 3.30pm on Wednesday, 15th February 2023 and Thursday, 16th February 2023.

Places are limited, with people asked to book place via email at: info@600-degrees.co.uk

The cost is £20 per child which includes your pizza.

Dan and the team will lead the way in letting your little ones stretch, top and bake their own pizzas in the famous 600 Degrees oven.

Choices will be Margarita, Pepperoni or additional toppings on request.

Children will be able to enjoy demos and an interactive session with the team, leaving with a special certificate.

The adult Pizza 101 masterclass was a huge success.

The session covered key areas such as dough calculations, dough balling up methods, stretching techniques and managing a wood fired oven.

Dan and Rob said: “We couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of students! The pizzas produced were fantastic and all were donated to Southport Soup Kitchen.

“We would like to say a special thanks to our local supplier Rafala UK for providing us with some of the spectacular ingredients used on the course.”
